Lecture: "How Volunteering Can Support Students' Mental Health"

The lecture is part of the Tempaus week and organized in collaboration with Nyyti ry
Tempaus

The lecture is open to everyone, even if you have not signed up for Tempaus Week beforehand.

In this session, we will focus on students' mental health and how volunteering and civic engagement can support well-being. Volunteering can be a significant factor in maintaining mental health: helping others and building a sense of community can also enhance the well-being of the volunteer, help recognize personal strengths, reduce stress, and bring a sense of purpose to daily life. We will also discuss stress management techniques and how to regulate stress, especially when balancing volunteering with studies in everyday life.

The lecture is organized in collaboration with Nyyti ry, which supports students' mental health by providing information, support, and activities aimed at promoting, maintaining, and overcoming challenges related to mental well-being. You can read more about Nyyti on their website: https://www.nyyti.fi/

Welcome to join us, and please arrive on time! At the end of the lecture, we will collect names, and there will be an opportunity to receive a sticker for the "Tempauspassi."
