Kääpiöidenpolku 4 is located in a green and sparsely built area in Roihuvuori, close to nature and the sea. Roihuvuori is a modern neighbourhood in a wooded environment, and is increasing popular among young people as a residential area. The area features a Japanese-style garden and a cherry tree park, where the Japanese festival of Hanami is held to celebrate the blossoming of the cherry trees. AYY’s building on Kääpiöidenpolku is close to grocery stores, and the services of the Itäkeskus shopping centre are one-and-a-half kilometres away. There are also bus stops nearby, which provide a convenient ride to the metro station. The journey to Otaniemi takes around 40 minutes.

AYY’s apartments on Kääpiöidenpolku are large studios and practical two-room apartments for families and roommates. The studios either have an alcove or a bedroom separated from the rest of the living space by a partition wall. The larger two-room apartments feature two bedrooms and are therefore ideal for sharing with a roommate. The smaller two-room apartments have a separate bedroom and living room and are therefore better for couples. In all the apartments additional space is provided by either a balcony or a terrace.
