Construction of the Volunteer Monument and Time Capsule

The event is aimed at those who have registered for Tempaus.

Have you always wanted to be a part of Otaniemi’s history? Even 50 years from now?! Now is the perfect time to participate. Tempaus volunteers are building a monument to honor volunteer work, along with a time capsule that will be buried for 50 years. You can participate in building the monument or contribute to the time capsule in the following ways…

Here’s how to participate:

1.Contribute to the Time Capsule
Leave a message for the next 50 years. What you need to bring: nothing. You’ll get a small card and a pen on-site to write your message.

2.Participate in Building the Tempaus Monument
Know anything about casting? No? Well, no problem—you’ll get to try it out. Some parts of the work might get your clothes dirty, so please keep this in mind.

What: Tempaus 100 Monument
Where: Otakaari 25
When: October 23-24, 9 AM - 4 PM. Monument construction and time capsule contributions are during this time.
You can also contribute to the time capsule during the opening ceremony.
Why: A monument for the centennial of the Tempaus, and a time capsule for future volunteers 50 years from now
