Aalto University Student Union (AYY) is looking for communications specialist!

Come and create meaningful and effective communications for AYY! We are looking for a self-motivated, productive and inventive communicator.

As Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for producing content for student union housing operations including newsletters, releases, resident surveys and website updates. In this versatile position, you will proofread and produce content, as well as develop communications. You will plan and implement communications in cooperation with member service and communication teams, so we are looking for a specialist who enjoys cooperation! 

We are looking for a person who is driven to create communications and able to perform well even under pressure. As Communications Specialist, you will plan and implement communications on multiple channels. 
The job description is modified according to the selected person’s strengths and the areas of expertise.

Essential qualities:

• Experience in communications and excellent content production skills
• Higher education studies suitable for the position
• Excellent spoken and written Finnish 
• Ability to manage multichannel communications           
• Good project management and interaction skills
• Ability to understand the big picture and pick up new skills, the ability to adapt to changing situations quickly
• Independent approach to work and enthusiasm to develop communications to meet the needs of our target group 
   

Desirable qualities:

• Experience in resident or real estate communications 
• Rental housing activities know-how
• Student union or NGO experience
• Visual communication skills and understanding of the accessibility of communications

• Fluent English and Swedish 

The employment relationship is permanent and full-time (37.5 hours/week). We hope that the recruited person will start in the position on 14 Aug.
