The purpose of KvTMK is to be a supporting group and a council, which will together develop and support the internationalization of the special status associations as well as lobby for international students in the special status associations. KvTMK will also take care of that international students will receive information about the Finish student culture. If KvTMK so wishes, it can also organize projects and events or take part in Mosaic’s projects. International Grand Viziers or people who are taking care of their tasks are also appointed to the committee. The chair of the committee acts in the International Section Mosaic and one can apply for the position of the chairperson in connection with the application period of Mosaic. International responsibles of special status associations Each special status association has a member who is in charge of international affairs. There are differences between the associations whether international affairs are handled by one or several persons, whether the board has a member in charge of international affairs and whether the person in charge of international affairs has other obligations in addition to one’s position. In any case, the association appoints one member to the international committee, preferably one from its board. Acting in the international committee is part of the obligations of their position. International Grand Vizier The grand vizier is responsible for the recruitment of international tutors of incoming exchange students and Master’s degree students, as well as the coordination of tutoring activities throughout the year. In addition, grand viziers participate in the training and instructing of tutors together with AYY’s international sector.
