The activities include singing, various events, activities for new students and development cooperation. The committees vary significantly. They form, however, the main sector of the student union volunteers and implement certain duties in the various sectors of the student union. The committees generally act under sections and are roughly divided into two categories. Some of the committees are groups recruited by the student union, such as the anniversary committee that organises AYY’s anniversary or the party committee that organises major parties. Other committees consist of the special status association members, such as the freshman committee that gathers together the freshman captains of the guilds who are led by the freshman major or the council which gathers the chairpersons of the special status associations under the same roof.
