Corporate Relations within the Aalto University Student Union (AYY)
Just as the AYY organization is somewhat scattered, the Student Union’s corporate relations as a function is divided between several operators. Yet, the most essential positions related to the function can be found at the Student Union’s headquarters a.k.a. Lämppäri. There one can find not only the Sales Coordinator and the member of the Board responsible for Corporate Relations (for contact information, see here), but often also the various volunteer sections – of which the most important in this aspect is the Corporate Relations section (a.k.a. Aura). Other sections also have their respective corporate relations coordinators, who take part in Aura’s operation per their position description.
The reason for managing Corporate Relations
As in many organizations, our role is to contact businesses in order to bring value to our customers. That is, valuable benefits to the students at Aalto University – who by default are members of the Aalto University Student Union. Some of the most notable benefits include:

- Benefits and discounts unique to the holders of an AYY student card
- AYY Uncovers video blog, which offers an exceptionally broad insight to what it is really like to work for different companies!
