Student associations can apply for grants to support their activity, events and different projects from many different places.
AYY Grants
Operating Grant
Once a year, usually in April – May, AYY hands out operating grants to associations that are in the first bracket of its Register of Associations. The annual application period is in February – March. Scoring model 2012 (pdf)
Raised Operating Grant
An association can apply for a raised operating grant if it plans to realize a project beyond the scope of its normal operations within the next year. The grant criteria are the same as with the regular operating grant.
Project Grant
An association can apply for a project grant if it wishes to realize a project beyond the scope of its normal operations AND the idea for it appeared after the application period for the raised operating grant had passed. However, if the project idea already exists when the application period for the raised operating grant is still open, the association must apply for a raised operating grant instead. The project grants are mainly given to projects that are not annual but only realized once. AYY’s association specialist accepts project grant applications throughout the year. Decision on the grant is made by AYY Board.
Start-up Grant
Start-up grant is meant for establishing a new association and covering the possible registration expenses. AYY’s association specialist accepts applications for start-up grants throughout the year. Decision on the grant is made by AYY Board.
