An association within the Student Union may apply for a special status. The Representative Council of the Student Union may grant a special status to an association which meets the conditions for the first register of the association list and comprehensively represents students in one or several fields, keeps in touch with the economic life and promotes diverse activities in the Student Union.
Special status associations have the right and the duty to provide freshman education or similar guidance to new students and send representatives to the cooperation forums offered by the Student Union. Special status associations have the right to have board members as their sponsors and higher operating grants which are needed to help the associations to take care of their responsibilities.
